Home Design Trends of 2014 with Ken Wingard
1) Top Brass
The first trend is brass. Brass is really the "it" metal color right now. We see it being used in a lot of different appliances, but many stores use this new modern look as an excuse to overcharge! So today, we're going to show you how to make our own, inexpensive, pendant lamps with brass.
Brass lamps can go from $100 to $500, depending on the brand. But, instead of paying for it, you can use spray paint to create the same effect, using lamps that cost only $9! You can save a couple hundred dollars just by investing in some brass spray paint! It also creates a more shiny, luster feel.
2) Mixing Of Warm, Natural Woods With High Luster Metallics
The next trend you will see a lot of is warm, natural woods being mixed with luster metallics. So today, we're showing you a few materials that you can use to create our own arrangement of votives and branches to give an end table a very rustic feel.
3) The Use Of Navy
Lastly, the primary color of this year seems to be navy. You’re going to be seeing a lot of navy this year!
So to modernize our home here we decided to paint our coffee table navy! For more, visit Ken Wingard at
