DIY Yule Log

MATERIALS:
- Log or driftwood
- Candle cups
- Tapered candles
- Drill
- Paddle or forstner bit to fit candle cup
- E6000
- Orbital sander or sanding block
TO CREATE THE STANDING CANDELABRA YULE LOG:
- Wood round
- Branch
- Slender tapered candle cups
- Slender tapered candles
- Drill
- Screws ½” longer than the thickness of the wood round
- E6000
- Optional:
- Spray paint
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Make sure the log as a flat bottom to rest on safely. If the log does not already have a good resting spot, sand the bottom flat in a few areas so it is sturdy.
- Drill the holes in desired spots, only drill as deep as the candle cup is tall.
- Add a candle cup into each hole. Apply the e6000 in the hole then drop in the candle cup. Place a candle in before it dries to make sure it sits vertically.
- Place all the candles, drop into your décor and enjoy!
TO CREATE THE STANDING CANDELABRA YULE LOG:
- Screw through the bottom of the wood round into the bottom of the branch. Make sure the position is balanced so it doesn’t fall over.
- Paint if desired. Allow to dry.
- Arrange your candle cups on the branch to find desired placement.
- Adhere the candle cups in place with e6000. Allow to dry according to instructions.
- Place into your décor and enjoy!
