DIY Wood Photo Transfer - Home & Family

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. If your photo has lettering or anyone in the photo has distinct facial features flip the photo vertically before you print it. You can flip the photo before in most basic computer programs like word or your computer’s photo storage program.
  2. Paint the decoupage onto the wood in a smooth thin layer with the foam brush.
  3. Set the photo face-down onto the wood. Allow drying thoroughly.
  4. Remove the paper from the board. Use the soft, non-abrasive side of a wet sponge to rub away the paper. Do this until all the white haze and fuzz is gone. PRO TIP: Let it dry once you think you’ve finished then go back in to remove the haze and fuzz that will be leftover.
