DIY White House Candy Cane Decor

Coleen Christian Burke's decorative tablescape for Christmas.

Materials

  • Candy canes in their wrappers
  • Glass vase (about 10-inches)
  • Carnations (Red, White or assorted)
  • Decorative ribbon
  • Florist foam
  • Hot glue gun
  • Rubber bands
  • Florist snips

Directions:

L3: Materials: Candy Canes, Carnations, Vase, Ribbon

STEPS (On card):

1. TRIM FLOWERS TO SIT JUST ABOVE RIM.

2. INSERT FLORIST FOAM INTO VASE.

3. PUT RUBBER BANDS AROUND VASE AND INSERT CANDY CANE STICKS UNTIL COMPLETELY SURROUNDED (THIS WILL DETERMINE HOW MANY YOU NEED).

4. REMOVE CANDY CANES AND HOT GLUE EACH ONE AROUND VASE.

5. NOTE: IF YOU'VE LEFT WRAPPERS ON YOU MAY NEED TWO LEVELS OF WIDE RIBBON TO COVER LABELS.


6. WRAP A WIDE RED RIBBON AROUND CENTER AND SECURE WITH HOT GLUE.
