Materials

  • 1x10x8 piece of wood
  • ½” dowel rod – 7” long
  • 2 inch screws
  • 1 ¼” inch screws
  • Drill
  • Jigsaw
  • Sand Paper
  • Tape Measure
  • Paint
  • PDF Pattern (http://www.ana-white.com/2012/05/plans/charlie039s-scooter)
  • Wood Glue (optional)
  • Wood Putty (optional)
  • Foam Board (optional)
DIY Vespa Rocker - Home & Family

Directions

1. Download PDF for pattern pieces
2. Cut out all pattern pieces
3. Place pattern pieces on 1x10x8 piece of wood
4. Trace pieces onto wood
5. Measure out two base supports (1 – 2”x10”, 1 – 3”x10”)
6. Cut out pieces with jigsaw
7. Sand the edges
8. Drill pilot holes (countersink drill bit recommended)
9. Paint
10. Assemble pieces together…first fit frame to front. Next add seat, and then the wheel walls. Then add the base supports and next the rockers. To finish it off, add the handlebars, and the front headlight.
11. Add reflective paper or tape to front headlight
12. Use foam board to create a customized name plate
13. Glue name plate onto the back
