Materials
- two 8x10 pieces of leather
- one piece of leather cut to 1/2″ x 4″
- leather glue
- lobster clasp keychain
- stapler
- scissors
- cutting mat
Directions
1. Use the rotary cutter and cutting mat to trim one piece of leather to 4″ x 10″
2. On the back of the leather, draw a line 1″ from the side
3. Now use the ruler to draw lines 1/8″ apart
4. Use those lines to help cut the fringe, Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, you won’t need the
lines and you can freehand it.
5. Place the ruler 1/8″ from the side and use rotary cutter
6. This will create a long thin strip of leather for the loop of your tassel
7. Loop the 1/2″ x 4″ piece of leather through the keychain
8. Staple the loop to the large piece of fringed leather
9. Apply glue then roll the fringed piece tightly
10. Apply glue to the top of the tassel – this will ensure that everything stays in place and you
can use your keychain over and over for years to come
