Directions
1. Find the perfect picture. Straight on from the front doesn’t work well because there won’t be any definition in the face.
2. Put your favorite words together in a document that describes your dog. If you would like to download our words, we have made it available as a downloadable PDF.
3. Print the words out any size you would like. I am putting it in a 16 x 20 frame with an 11 x 14 opening surrounded by the frames matting. Because the size is bigger than a typical 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, I had to line up the pages and tape them together using double-sided tape. You can also do it on one sheet of paper and put it in an 8 x 10 frame so that you don't have to print out multiple copies and tape them together.
4. Print out the silhouette on card stock, according to the size that you're using for your frame. Cut out the dogs silhouette and this will become your template for tracing the dog over the words. Set your template on top of the words and trace the cut out silhouette. Remove the silhouette and cut the sheet with the words on it in the shape of your dog. Tape or glue your new silhouette on any background color that you would like. I have chosen black to match my frame.
