  • Tape Measure
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Drill
  • Safety Goggles
  • Soil
  • Groundcover
DIY Potted Bed - Home & Family

Directions

1. Create frame by screwing together base using: (2) 2'' x 10'' x 5’ boards with (2) 2'' x 10'' x 3’ boards using 3’’ wood screws.

2. Lay out (8) 2'' x 10'' x 4’ boards evenly on top of base sticking out 4 1/2’’ on each side.

3. Screw each board to base using 2'' wood screws (2) per side for each board.

4. Drill pilot holes to 1'' x 6'' x 68’’ boards and 1'' x 6'' x 5' boards.

5. Screw together (2) 1'' x 6'' x 5’ boards to each end of base through pilot holes using 2’’
wood screws

6. Screw together (2) 1'' x 6'' x 68’ boards to each sides of base through pilot holes using 2’’
wood screws.

7. Optional: Create a headboard using 1'' x 6'' x 68’ to desired height.

8. Fill bed with soil

9. Plant groundcover

10. Water every day for the first 3 months then reduce to 2-3 per week depending on your climate and season
