  • Ribbon or string
  • Hole Puncher
  • Cord Set

DIY Paper Lanterns - Home & Family


1. First, accordion fold your butcher paper

a. Starting with one end, fold butcher paper at an angle, repeat on all pieces on that end

b. Switch to the other end. Fold corner at a similar angle. Repeat for all pieces

c. Invert fold, creating a valley fold, along the fold lines on both ends

2. Using a hole puncher, punch holes down the long end of your design

3. Glue paper together to create a cylinder

4. Weave string through holes of cylindrical design

5. Draw shut

6. Insert Lighting Cord Set
