Blogger and DIY expert Amber Kemp-Gerstel is showing you how to get creative by turning a luggage rack into a useful ottoman.

Materials

  • Luggage rack
  • Home decorator fabric
  • Staple gun
  • 3" thick foam
  • Trim/Pom Poms
  • Glue gun
  • Measuring tape
  • Plywood
  • Spray adhesive
Luggage Rack Ottoman - Home & Family

Directions

1. Measure the length and width of the top of the luggage rack

2. Cut plywood to the same length and width

3. Place the plywood on top of foam and use a serrated knife to cut the foam to the same size
as the plywood

4. Adhere foam to plywood with spray adhesive

5. Use staple gun to cover foam and wood with fabric

6. Use a nail gun to secure the cushion to the top slats of the luggage rack

7. Finish edges of cushion with fringe trim and/or pom pom trim
