    Steps

    1) Cut citrus fruit with sharp knife uniform size (1/8" to 1/4" thick) and place on dehydrator rack

    2) Slice apples and pears on mandolin uniform size (1/8"- 1/4" thick)

    3) Dip THE cut apples and pears in bowl with 1 quart of water and 2 tbsn of ascorbic acid (citric acid) for 2 min to pre-treat against browning

    4) Place apples and pears on dehydrator rack and place inside machine

    5) Set the temperature at 135-degrees and timer for 5 hours

    6) Remove dried fruit from machine after timer stops and insert ornament hangers
