- Borax - 4 tbsp per cup of water
- Boiling hot water
- Tempered glass heat resistant dish
- Paper towels
- Optional:
- Food coloring
- Clear sanding sugar sprinkles
- White or clear glitter
- Spray adhesive
- Clear spray sealant
- Boil water then place into a heat resistant tempered glass container big enough to cover the seashells.
- Mix in 4 tablespoons per cup of water into the hot water. Add in a few drops of food coloring if desired to make colorful crystals.
- Place the seashells in and watch them grow for 24 hours! Do not remove before then, the more time they sit in the solution the more crystalized the seashells become.
- Remove the seashells from the solution and allow them to dry on a paper towel.
- Place into decor and enjoy!
- Apply spray adhesive to the seashell in areas you want crystalized.
- Mix the sugar and glitter together in a container.
- Sprinkle the crystal mixture onto the seashell.
- Repeat to make as many seashells as desired.
- Spray with clear sealant and allow to cure according to the brand's instructions.
- Place into decor and enjoy!
