DIY Cardboard Window Valance - Home & Family

Instructions

1. Measure width of window

2. Decide how tall you want the valance to be (make sure it’s tall enough to cover window
hardware)

3. For the width measure how far the drape extends out and go beyond that by about 2”

4. Cut poster board into one 48” x 10” piece and two 8” x 10” pieces

5. Use hot glue to build, adding stability with triangle corners

6. The fabric should be a few inches longer than the board on all sides

(1/3rd yard of fabric should be plenty)

7. Spray glue the fabric onto the board

8. Hot glue around the edges and fold over

9. Hang valance onto the window
