Detailing Materials for Headlights

  • Painters tape
  • Superfine sandpaper
  • Toothpaste (containing baking soda)
  • Toothbrush

Detailing Materials for Paint

  • Automobile clay
  • Lubricant
  • • Cloth

Directions for Detailing Headlights

1. Tape the paint around the headlight with painters tape
2. Dampen the superfine sandpaper with water
3. Buff the headlight with the sandpaper, moving in one direction
4. Apply toothpaste to the headlight and scrub in with a toothbrush
5. Scrub in a circular motion until the white toothpaste turns yellow/brown in color
6. Wipe away with warm water and rag

Directions for Detailing Paint

1. Wash your car before claying process
2. Spray lubricant on are you will be working on
3. Use clay to rub in the lubricant and pick up contaminants
4. Clean clay by reshaping it as you go
5. Wipe away areas you’ve clayed with the cloth
