Materials
- 8 inch cardboard cement tube
- 18 inch pine wood round – 1 inch thick
- Spray paint (white glossy)
- Painter’s tape
- 4, 2in x 2in wood “legs” (18-inches tall)
- Wood screws
- Red paint
- Glitter
- Tapered wine bucket to fit 8inch circumference

Directions
- Use an 8” cardboard cement tube and cut to 36”
- Use an 18” x 1” pine, wood round
- Use tube as a guide and measure a circle in center of wood round
- Screw 4, 2” x 2” posts within circle (set aside)
- Prep tube with white glossy spray paint
- Using the seams of the tube as a guide tape with 1” painter’s tape (rotate tube and create a swirl from top to bottom)
- Mark a spot 2” below tape edge and create a parallel swirl from top to bottom (you will have a 2” gap between tape swirls)
- Paint the gaps with red paint
- Add glitter or embellishments to the “candycane”
- Slide painted tube over wood rounds with legs
- Insert a sandbag into tube
- Insert a tapered ice bucket (note: if the bucket has handles, remove first)
- Fill with ice and water halfway up
