Apps for the Modern Day Woman

Debbie shows off the latest and greatest in apps for the busy modern woman!

Yummly

It was rated best of 2014 in the app store. Yummly is a free smartphone app and website that provides recipe recommendations personalized to the individual's tastes, recipe search, a digital recipe box, and one-hour grocery delivery.

Yummly transforms food into data. Yummly understands, analyzes, and connects food to data, delivering smart, personal & useful products. Yummly is able to do this through patent-pending technology. So it ‘understands’ food on a variety of levels; allows users to search by ingredient, diet, allergy, nutrition, price, cuisine, time, taste, meal courses and sources; and ‘learns’ about users based on their likes and dislikes. Yummly uses this information to categorize food for search and make recommendations.

Glam Squad
Makes getting ready a whole lot easier. Glamsquad is an app-based beauty provider delivering professional and affordable beauty services to the home, office, hotel, or wherever you may be.
Glamsquad sends separate beauty professionals to each appointment. You can schedule appointments for up to three people, all in the comfort of your own home!
Book your appointment through the app and they send full trained beauty professionals directly to you! You can choose from their style menu for some inspiration, and book the service you would like! It’s simple, fast and easy. And they’re expanding rapidly, having just opened up in florida! And coming to a city near you!

Like to Know It
This isn’t a separate app, but actually an extension of instagram. And it’s super easy! With this app, you’ll never have to ask “where did you get that?” Again!
How it works is you shop your favorite instagrams from your favorite instagrammers – simply like a photo and you’ll receive an email with ready to shop product links.
Sign into instagram and choose to authorize, enter your email address. Save and finish. Completed registration!
As your scrolling thru instagram like photos and tag with “liketoknowit” links. You’ll receive an email with the photos you’ve liked and the associated product price. Simply click on the product image to shop through it.
