Her mother, Mina, uses FaceTime, also joins in the interview from Charleston, South Carolina. The mother and daughter take trips down memory lane, and share photos of Catherine’s first car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. There was even a period of time when Catherine rode a motorcycle during her teen years. The women also share stories about their mother/daughter vacation to London when Catherine turned 21.

Ashanti Interview

Superstar singer, Ashanti visits Home & Family and is accompanied by her mother, Tina Douglas, who is also her manager. Tina reveals that it was she who coined the phrase “Momanger” and jokes that all mothers are a manager in one way or another when it comes to their children. Ashanti has even written a song for Tina titled, “Mom.” Ashanti also opens up about her recent adventure in producing, serving as an Executive Producer of a new film, “Mothers and Daughters” which is already out in theaters.
