Vaughn Vreeland is the charming, camera-ready food guy behind some of the internet’s most delicious videos. As Supervising Producer and Senior Video Journalist at The New York Times' NYT Cooking, he’s helped cook up wildly popular video series that serve millions of fans across YouTube and Instagram.
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Vaughn graduated from Elon University in 2015 with a double major in Media Arts and French. He studied in France, taught English in Thailand, and filmed everywhere in between before landing at BuzzFeed’s Tasty, where he quickly went from Video Fellow to full-on Creator.
Since joining The New York Times in 2018, Vaughn has become a favourite face of NYT Cooking known for his approachable, personality-packed recipe videos that make you feel like you’re cooking with a witty friend who knows his way around a kitchen.
His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed as he’s been featured on Good Morning America, named to Forbes' “30 Under 30” in media, and honoured by Elon with a Top 10 Under 10 Alumni Award in 2025.
