Madeleine Arthur is an accomplished young actress known for playing an incredibly diverse range of characters in various genres; from teen romance to sci-fi horror and cult suspense to comedy or dramatic based stories.
Arthur can be seen in the lead role of “Mae Dodd” in the eight-episode thriller series from Netflix “Devil in Ohio,” opposite Emily Deschanel based on Daria Polatin’s bestselling novel and inspired by true events. She recently starred opposite Randall Park and Melissa Fumero in the Netflix half-hour nostalgic comedy series “Blockbuster.”
Arthur is well known for starring in the Netflix American teenage romance trilogy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and sequels To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You & To All the Boys: Always and Forever, based on the New York Times best seller by Jenny Han. She played the role of the feisty, fun-loving best friend Christine opposite Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.
Early in her career she starred as Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz’s daughter in Tim Burton’s critically acclaimed sci-fi film Big Eyes. Other feature credits include the H.P. Lovecraft feature Color Out of Space, opposite Nicolas Cage and Joely Richardson.
On the television, she had recurring roles on the CBS and “Funny or Die” series "Guilty Party,” for Paramount+, the TBS series “Chad” starring Nasim Pedrad, and on TNT’s Series “Snowpiercer,” opposite Jennifer Connelly. She was a series regular on the ABC series “The Family” starring opposite Oscar nominee Joan Allen and previously recurred on “The Magicians” for Syfy.
Additionally, Arthur can also be seen in “The X-Files” reboot opposite David Duchovny and played arcs on The CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Supernatural” and “The Tomorrow People.”
Arthur was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
