Eric Close is currently starring opposite Tommy Flanagan in the Amazon film Legal Action as an attorney who must defend his brother-in-law on a murder charge. He can also be seen starring in the war drama Indivisible based on a true story about a family’s real-life events during the 2007 Iraqi war.

Previously, Close starred opposite Connie Britton in the hit series “Nashville,” created by Oscar®- winning writer Callie Khouri for the ABC network. Before this, Close starred for almost a decade on the critically acclaimed CBS series “Without a Trace,” nominated for a Golden Globe® for best ensemble cast. Close then teamed up again with the network as the lead of their dramedy series “Chaos” directed by Brett Ratner. He also starred as the crafty lawyer, Travis Tanner on the critically acclaimed USA series “Suits” opposite Gabriel Macht and Patrick Adams. On the feature side, Close joined Bradley Cooper in Clint Eastwood’s, American Sniper for Warner Bros, playing DIA Agent Snead.

Past credits include the series “American Horror Story,” “The Magnificent Seven,” “Now and Again,” “Dark Skies, and “McKenna.” He also took on a number of long-form features including Seven Deadly Sins, Christmas Crime Story, Hercules, Follow the Stars Home, The Stranger Beside Me, Long Island Fever, Without Consent, and Unanswered Prayers, which was produced by Garth Brooks, and based on his hit song of the same name. Last, but not least, Close appeared in the Golden Globe® nominated mini-series, “Taken,” which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg.

Behind the camera, Close is also an accomplished director. In addition to directing episodes of “Nashville” and “Without a Trace,” he recently finished directing and acting in his fourth feature for Hallmark Channel, which included the network’s highly rated Christmas films, “Christmas at Graceland,” “Wedding at Graceland,” and “Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays.” In addition, he just finished directing the upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame film, “A Christmas Love Story,” in which he starred alongside Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf.
