A dangerous windstorm puts residents of Hope Valley at risk. Elizabeth takes half the class on a field trip in the woods while Carson is the substitute teacher for the rest. Jesse is missing, causing great concern over his safety.
Elizabeth attempts to build community engagement in her classroom with the students from Benson Hills. When they share that they just want to go home, Elizabeth assures them that they will try to make them feel welcome in Hope Valley.
