"Lean" beef, especially ground beef can be confusing. Remember even if it says it's 80% lean, this still means that it is 20% fat by weight and that this fat makes up more than two thirds of its calories. The truth is that meat is often contaminated with bacteria but it is up to you to look at the small print to figure out how to handle it. The small print will come with icons such as a "refrigerator" (keep refrigerated) or a "faucet" keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods, "thermometer" refrigerate leftovers or discard. Cook thoroughly. All of these labels can be boiled down to: chill, clean, separate, cook.
Making candles is a fun and creative process. I personally find it very relaxing and it makes me happy to be able to make something that I can give away. Some gifts, like food, don't last as long and candles are a perfect gift because I find that everybody loves them. They're a little luxury that can have aromatherapy benefits as well. Who wouldn't love a scent that relaxes and soothes us in such a busy and hectic world?
"This is a great substitution for Mashed Potatoes. It's lighter and just as tasty. I started making this about 6 years ago when I decided that we didn't really need another heavy carb on the table at Thanksgiving. Now I know that there are some die hard mashed potato fans out there that would never forego their decadent whipped potato pudding, however, I say give it shot. Even my brother in law who could eat mashed potatoes for every meal liked it. Happy eating!!!"
