As Cassie, Sam, Grace and Nick sit down for dinner, Cassie and Sam do their best to keep the mood positive and uplifting. In contrast, Nick and Grace are still at odds over Nick’s plans to study abroad. When Cassie asks Nick about studying in London, Grace chimes in, “If he’s going.” Realizing what she’s said, Grace immediately tries to apologize, but an argument between she and Nick immediately ensues. Confused, Sam asks Nick if he wants to go to London and Nick says he’s still thinking about it before storming out of Cassie’s house. Grace follows suit, storming off to her room, leaving Sam and Cassie to wonder what just happened.

At the Bistro Café, Cassie and Ryan talk. Cassie is certain there is a storm coming and maybe more than one. Sam stops in to pick up some breakfast to go, and Martha gets on her way to prepare for the upcoming storm. Cassie reaffirms to Sam that the storm is going to hit Middleton, but Sam is more concerned about his ex-wife Linda coming to town.
Night passes to day and there is still no word from Rebecca. Worried, Justine and Linnette discuss their next move. As they talk an exhausted Rebecca walks through the front door. She explains that she pulled an all-nighter before driving to a neighboring county to deliver a motion. On the way back she was feeling tired so she stopped for a quick nap. When she woke up she realized she’d overslept, her phone was dead and she missed two other court appearances. After hearing the story Justine and Linnette try to talk to Rebecca about her grueling work schedule but she’s not in the mood and walks off to her bedroom.
