Lindsey, a single mom with an adorable daughter, is closed off to life after losing her husband a few years back. When she buys a stocking at her town’s Christmas craft fair, the family begins “magically” finding items in the stocking that they learn have importance in their lives. The series opens with Sophia, Dorothy’s mother, moving in with Dorothy, Blanche and Rose. Sophia had been staying at a retirement home, Shady Pines, but a fire broke out and it burned down. Meanwhile, Blanche’s latest boyfriend, Harry, proposes marriage. However, Rose, a grief counselor, has a bad feeling about their impending marriage.
