Apple and Oatmeal Waffle
Nothing like a bowl of oatmeal to warm you up in the morning. Unless, of course, it’s an oatmeal waffle! You can use any kind of uncooked oatmeal for this recipe, and quick works just as well as old-fashioned rolled oats.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ cup wheat flour
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large apples
  • Walnuts
  • Syrup

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix all ingredients together, reserving apples and walnuts and syrup.
  2. Chop apples and walnuts.
  3. Make waffles by heating waffle iron, treating it with spray oil, and cooking batter until waffle is golden brown.
  4. Remove from waffle iron and top with diced apples and walnuts.
  5. Drizzle with syrup
