Illeana Douglas recently starred in “Goliath” for Amazon, “Search Party” on HBO Max and “Shrill” for Hulu. Some of her memorable film roles include She’s Funny That Way, Ghost World, Stir of Echoes, Happy Texas, Picture Perfect, Message in a Bottle, Grace of My Heart, To Die For, Cape Fear, Alive and Goodfellas.
On television Douglas received an Emmy nomination for her role of Angela on “Six Feet Under” and has guest starred on notable shows like “Entourage,” “Frasier,” “Ugly Betty,” “Modern Family,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “The Drew Carey Show,” “Seinfeld” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” Douglas is a frequent host on Turner Classic Movies and has provided film commentaries for “CNN: The Movies,” “78/52: Hitchcock’s Shower Scene,” “Time Warp: The Greatest Cult Films of All Time,” Criterion, Arrow Entertainment, Imprint, Kino Lorber and “Trailers from Hell.” Douglas was the executive producer of Kino Lorber’s Early Women Filmmakers DVD, which won a 2018 New York Critics Award. Entertainment Weekly named her memoir, I Blame Dennis Hopper: And Other Stories from A Life Lived in and Out of the Movies, “One of the best books of 2016.” She was the recipient of a Pioneer in Comedy Award at the 2018 Palm Springs International Comedy Festival.
