Turshen was born in Washington, D.C. Turshen began performing with local ballet companies at age 5 and joined the Washington Ballet Company after high school. At Mount Holyoke College, Turshen pursued her passion for History, Politics, and International Human Rights, played club ice hockey and performed in school theatre productions. Turshen moved to New York to study acting and starred in award-winning indie films including Boy Meets Girl and Body. Turshen is best known for her roles on Netflix’s “Partner Track”, Showtime's “Ray Donovan” and Amazon's '80s comedy “Red Oaks."
