Erich Bergen Interview

The actor sits down with Mark and Cristina to talk about his breakout drama “Madam Secretary” and about playing Blake, the assistant to Tea Leoni’s title character. Erich admits that the actors on the set are always laughing or singing and having a blast. Before “Madam Secretary,” Erich starred in the movie of “Jersey Boys” after playing the same character on stage for three years. He even performed in front of the President at the White House!

She describes the show as a blend of “cop drama” and sci-fi. Salli’s inspiration as an actor has always been Lena Horne and she had the the opportunity to portray her on the stage with such huge names as Oprah, Halle Berry and Tyler Perry in the audience. She even sings a little “Stormy Weather” for Mark and Cristina and Mark enjoys the serenade.
