She talks about how her character plays a therapist who goes into the mind of a young hacker. Aside from television, Gloria also has done musical performances, and sang on Tina Turner’s tour in 2000. Gloria even performs a song from her new album, “Penchant to Dream,” which is available now.

Jeannie’s go-to fashion tip is to own a variety of belts. Jeannie is staying busy hosting a TV design competition show “Steampunk’d” on GSN. She has also teamed up with Self Magazine and Biogen to show women with MS how to be comfortable and stylish all at once.

Fun Museum Programs
Mark and Cristina talk about all the fun museum programs that are available for kids this summer. They are joined by senior paleontologist preparator Doug Goodreau from the LA Natural History Museum and “Dakota,” a young lifelike Triceratops dinosaur. Kids can learn about the history of dinosaurs while taking the tour. They are later joined by “Hunter,” the lifelike Tyrannosaurus Rex. Mark and Cristina also find out more about the puppeteers who perform inside the dinosaur costumes.

Buttermilk Buckwheat Pancakes with Benefiber
Cristina is in the kitchen making one of her favorite dishes, pancakes! But, she clarifies that these pancakes are healthy ones because they include Benefiber, a 100% natural fiber, which also fills you up and reduces your cravings. Debbie points out that the pancakes are light and fluffy, despite the absence of white flour in the recipe. Cristina says the batter doesn’t need to be smooth and if you over mix the batter, it can appear too flat to serve. Keeping Your Eyes Healthy

Reducing Kitchen Food Health Risks
Dr. JJ is in the Home & Family kitchen talking about potential health risks. She points out that when juicing, never leave the pits of cherries, apricots or peaches in the blender because that can cause cyanide poisoning. Inhaling cinnamon can cause respiratory failure and she advises to not leave cinnamon in open containers. Ingesting large amounts of nutmeg can cause hallucinations and seizures. She also advises people to only consume pasteurized honey and to keep it from children under the age of one. Finally, she recommends keeping potatoes in cool dark places and to throw out sprouted or green potatoes.
