New Baby Food Allergy Guidelines with Dr. JJ Levenstein
Board certified pediatrician Dr. JJ Levenstein, MD, FAAP assesses the findings of recent studies conducted to determine when it's best for parents to introduce high risk foods to their baby's diet. The latest data suggests babies should test foods such as eggs, dairy, peanuts, seafood, and soy prior to their first birthday. This "tolerance window" may even prevent potential allergies from developing. But, Dr. Levenstein does caution parents about high risk groups if there is a specific food allergy that runs in the family.
