Cristina Cooks "Taste of Home" Patriotic Taco Salad
From "Taste of Home" magazine, Cristina cooks Glenda Jarboak's recipe for patriotic taco salad. The Oroville, CA based mom created this dish to celebrate her daughter's birthday, which lands on the 4th of July. You simply sauté ground beef and onion in oil. After draining, add taco seasoning, tomato paste, and a little bit of water, cooking until thick. Then in a pan, add the beef, lettuce, and layers of tomatoes and cheese in an American Flag design atop a bed of nacho chips. Next, Cristina shares her very own recipe for easy-to-make salsa.
