Re-Potting Plants with Shirley Bovshow

Re-Potting Plants with Shirley Bovshow
Shirley Bovshow explains why she decided to re-pot her mom's plants. She demonstrates how to choose a proper sized pot and reveals that a plant can have a muffin-top just like our waistline! Shirley also shares a tip to delay fertilizing.
Shirley Bovshow's Method of Re-Potting:
1. Cover container with a large towel and strike with a wire hanger until it cracks open.
2. Lift asparagus fern and open up the tangled roots with a knife or hacksaw. 3. Prepare the new container by filling with packing peanuts at bottom of pot and then halfway fill with soil. 4. Set the loosened root ball into container, making sure the crown of the plant sits 1-inch below the rim of pot. 5. Fill with soil and press down to remove air bubbles. 6. Water.
