“Little House on the Prairie” Reunion
Melissa Gilbert, Dean Butler, Matthew Labyorteaux and Rachel Lindsay Greenish all visit Home & Family to talk about their favorite memories from the iconic television show, “Little House on the Prairie.” Rachel shares the story of how she met her husband when the two were both just kids on the set. 30 years later they met again, and would go on to marry under the tree on the set where they first met. The actors all share tender stories of what it was like working with the late and great Michael Landon, as well, who they considered to be a second father. They all also talk about the "Little House on the Prairie: The Complete Series Delux Remastered Edition" that is available in stores now.

Melissa Gilbert is with Cristina in the kitchen baking up her famous Gingersnap Pumpkin Pie! The gingersnap is found in the crust and she jokes that butter is everything when it comes to making her pies. Michael Landon Jr. and Leslie Landon
The son and daughter of the late Michael Landon talk about the legacy of their father. Both Michael and Leslie say that it was very important for their father to do a show about family, especially because he didn’t have the best childhood growing up. They even share photos from life on the set with their dad that include the rest of the cast.
On Location
Alison Arngrim, who played nasty Nellie Oleson on the show, joins the show via video from the set of “Little House on the Prairie.” The background includes the tree where the characters carved their initials, the land where the house was located, and even the location of where the mud fight scene took place between “Nellie” and “Laura.”

Debbie Matenopoulos is joined by Rachel and Melissa to talk about the books that inspired the iconic show, “Little House on the Prairie.” Debbie talks about how the books were about family values and making the most of what they had. In 2014, the South Dakota Historical Society published Laura Ingalls Wilder’s memoir, “Pioneer Girl” which illustrated life during the 1800’s.
