Nuts That Can Keep You Healthy During the Holidays with Sophie Uliano

Store nuts in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 months or in the freezer for up to 1 year. The exception is pine nuts and pistachios, which you shouldn't freeze and should eat up within 1 month.

What about soaking or roasting nuts?

The best way to eat nuts is to make them as digestible as possible by soaking them overnight. Let me show you how I do this with raw almonds.

Steps:

  1. Soak them in salted water overnight.
  2. Rinse and dry them.
  3. Pop them in the oven at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes.
