Ingredients:
- 8 cups popped popcorn (2/3 cup kernels)
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 4 tbs of unsalted butter
- 2 tbs corn syrup or maple syrup
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 300 degrees
To Pop Popcorn:
1. Heat a heavy bottom stockpot (at least 4 quarts with a lid) with about
2. 3 tablespoons in of canola oil
4. Add 1/3 cup of kernels, cover with lid and swirl until popped
5. Once kernels are popped remove from heat, pour in bowl and season with salt
To Make Caramel:
1. Heat brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and sea salt in a medium stock pot (the liquid will start to boil up so choose one big enough)
2. Bring mixture to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes, until golden color is achieved
3. Remove from heat, whisk in baking soda and pour over popped corn spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until golden and shiny (toss popcorn about halfway through)
