Ingredients for Doughnuts
- 1 tube of ready-made biscuit dough (we used grands)
- 1 jar of edible glitter
- 2 TBS Superfine Sugar
- 2-3 Cups vegetable oil (or grapeseed oil) for frying
- Flour
Ingredients for Glaze
- 1⁄4 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- Strawberry jam (optional)
- Food coloring (optional)
Ingredients for Glitter Cocktail
- Prosecco
- Grapefruit juice
- Edible glitter
- Lemon wedge
Steps for Donuts
1) Take out biscuits from package and lie each one out on parchment lined sheet pan dusted lightly with flour.
2) Using a 1” ring mold (if you don’t have one you can use the cap of a water bottle) cut out a ring from the center of each biscuit
3) In a deep fryer, or large heavy bottom sauce pan/dutch oven, heat approximately 4 cups
of vegetable or grapeseed oil to 350
4) Drop each doughnut into oil for approximately 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked all the way through
5) Place doughnuts on a rack or sheet pan to cool
Steps for Glaze
1) Add milk and vanilla in a saucepan in a bowl
2) Add confectioners’ sugar into the mixture and whisk slowly -Remove glaze from heat
3) Add strawberry jam and food color for pink coloring (optional)
4) Dip doughnuts into glaze
5) Set on rack
6) Sprinkle on edible glitter
Steps for Glitter Cocktail
1) Run lemon wedge along rim and dip into glitter
2) Pour prosecco and grapefruit juice into glass
3) Add garnishes (optional)
