- 1 cup Unsalted butter
- ¾ cup Sifted powdered sugar
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. Almond extract
- 2-¼ cups All purpose flour
- ½ cup finely chopped pecans
- ½ cup finely chopped candied cherries
- ½ cup Chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 Tbsp. Milk
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 cup Sifted powdered sugar
Directions for cookie dough:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Combine butter, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extracts and beat well

Stir in the flour, pecans and cherries

Form dough into 1-inch balls

Place on un-greased cookie sheets

Bake for 15 – 18 minutes

Place on racks to cool
Directions for Chocolate Dipping Sauce:

Combine chocolate chips, butter and milk - microwave for 1 minute

Stir
-
(if chocolate has not melted, microwave for an additional 30 seconds.)

Add vanilla and powdered sugar - beat to combine.

(If the mixture is too runny, add a few more tablespoons of powdered sugar.)

Dip cool cookies in chocolate and cover top and sides with chocolate and place on rack to set

Put rack over a pan so you can scrape up any chocolate that drips off and heat and reuse
