French Onion Soup
Gaby Dalkin of WhatsGabyCooking.com is in the kitchen making the winter favorite, french onion soup with fresh gruyere cheese. To get the perfect caramelized onion, slowly burn over a low flame. If you don’t have any red wine, you can easily substitute in sherry. Finally, if you want the soup to thicken up, place a little flour in the pot until you get desired results.
DIY Snowy Owls
Paige Hemmis is taking firewood, bark, spray paint and wood scraps and turning them stylish decorative owls. In order to save money, Paige recommends using firewood over birchwood. She also offers up the tip of going to your local craft store for the wood slices.
