Richard Kind is an actor who has been acting in a lot of stuff for 40 years. Kind appeared in the Academy Award winning Best Picture Argo for director Ben Affleck, voiced Bing Bong in the hit Pixar Film, Inside Out and was Uncle Arthur, brother to Michael Stuhlbarg in the critically acclaimed A Serious Man written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.
Most recently, he appeared in the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building and has co-hosted with John Mulaney on his talk show Everybody’s in LA for Netflix. Kind played a memorable, heartbreaking role in Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter, and worked a second time with the Coen brothers in Suburbicon, directed by George Clooney. Kind was a series regular in the highly rated CBS drama, East New York.
Additional film credits include The Station Agent, Tick Tick...Boom, Obvious Child, 18 and 1/2, The Bellmen, The Magnificent Meyersons, Andover, The Independents, All We Had, The Lennon Report and The Paper Store, just to name a few.
His proudest work has been onstage. A Drama Desk Award Winner and Tony Nominee for The Big Knife, he has also starred in Guys and Dolls in London, the smash hit musical The Producers (Broadway and The Hollywood Bowl), The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Candide at City Opera, Bounce by Sondheim, (directed by Hal Prince) and most recently, All In: A Comedy About Love.
Kind began his career in Chicago with the Practical Theatre Company and Second City.
