Shirley Bovshow – Christmas Chestnuts
  • Raw chestnuts
  • Vegetable oil


1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

2. Score raw chestnuts using a sharp knife for scoring tool on the flat side

3. Lightly coat scored chestnuts with oil

4. Place chestnuts on baking sheet or in cast-iron pan

5. Roast chestnuts for 20 minutes - shell will curl when ready
