Christmas at the Golden Dragon

Osric Chau

Rick

Osric Chau was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, to a father from Hong Kong and a mother from Malaysia. He had spent years training martial arts with aspirations to work in stunts when that skillset helped him land his first leading role alongside David Carradine in the two part mini-series "Kung Fu Killer."

Chau hasn’t looked back since and has gone on to act in many high profile films such as Roland Emmerich’s 2012 and Paramount’s Fun Size. He also played some notable roles in TV including Kevin Tran over 6 seasons of “Supernatural,” Vogel in “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency,” and Ryan Choi (The Atom) in several of the Berlanti DC Arrowverse shows.

Over the last few years Chau had started producing. His first feature film Empty by Design was shot in the Philippines and premiered as the closing night film at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. His second feature Superhost was released on Shudder in 2021 and his third feature film Jonah is currently in post-production.

Most recently Chau had started to write and direct as well. His first short film Good News premiered at the Austin Film Festival in 2021. Among other projects in development, Chau is actively exploring the directing space, and is looking to make his feature film directorial debut in the near future.
