Raniero Monaco Di Lapio trained professionally by studying acting at the “Actor’s Academy” in Milan. After participating in the reality show “Big Brother,” Di Lapio made his debut as an actor, in the role of Maurizio Mainardi, on Channel 5 (Mediaset), “So che ritornerai,” directed by Eros Puglielli and was chosen as the male lead of “Amore 14” directed by Federico Moccia. In 2012, he co-starred in the role of Tobias in the Rai Television – series “Un passo dal cielo 2” directed by Riccardo Donna. In 2013, he starred in the Russian TV series “Taljanka” directed by Evgenij Zvezdjakov. In 2014, he took part in the Rai TV series “Catturandi - Nel nome del padre,” directed by Fabrizio Costa.
Up next, Di Lapio will star in “Una mamma all’improvviso.” Most recently, De Lapio played the role of Mario Rizzi in Canale 5’s TV series “Il Patriarca” alongside actor Claudio Amendola. He was also a competitor in two talent reality TV shows, “Dance Dance Dance” and “Amici Celebrities.”
Di Lapio had great success playing Roberto in “Rosy Abate” directed by Beniamino Catena. He also had success in Smetto quando voglio 2 and Smetto quando voglio 3 directed by Sydney Sibilia where he played the character of Fabio. Di Lapio was also seen as Raffaele Gherardi in Rai Uno fiction “La porta rossa” directed by Carmine Elia. In “Un posto al sole” he played Davide Gerace. He co-starred in Rai TV’s “Don Matteo 10” and was part of the ensemble cast in Siska Deluxe directed by Jan Cvitkovic and in La mia famiglia a soqquadro directed by Max Nardari. He appeared as a lead in the thriller film L’ombra del lupo by A. Gelpi.
TV credits include, “I Medici 3,” “Che Dio ci Aiuti 5,” and “L’Isola di Pietro 3.” Di Lapio also appeared in Netflix series “Guida Astrologica per Cuori Infranti” directed by B. De Stoppani and “Odio Il natale” by D.Mardegan and C. De Muro.
