Martin Kove is best known for his iconic portrayal of villainous karate sensei, John Kreese, in The Karate Kid trilogy, and the Netflix hit series “Cobra Kai.” With five seasons under its belt, “Cobra Kai” continues to rank as one of the best-performing original series on Netflix.
Kove shared the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino, who is a long-time fan of Kove, hand selected the veteran to appear in the film.
With over 100 films under his belt, some of Kove’s most notable credits include Rambo II, opposite Sylvester Stallone, and westerns such as “Hard Ground” with Burt Reynolds and the remake of “Gentle Ben,” both which were for Hallmark Channel.
On the television front, Kove spent six years bringing the role of Detective Victor Isbecki to life in the Emmy Award winning crime drama series “Cagney & Lacey.” Recent TV credits include guest starring roles in ABC’s “The Goldbergs” and CBS’ “Criminal Minds.”
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Kove has over three decades of film and TV experience. As busy as he is, Kove’s most gratifying activity is spending quality time with his twins, Rachel and Jesse, and his grandson.
