Danica McKellar, well known from her roles as Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years” and Elsie Snuffin on “The West Wing,” recently wowed audiences as a quarterfinalist on the ABC juggernaut “Dancing with the Stars,” and gets recognized for her frequent Hallmark Channel movies.

McKellar is also the founder of McKellarMath.com and the New York Times bestselling author of groundbreaking books including Math Doesn’t Suck and Kiss My Math. For tackling math education and simultaneously breaking the stereotype of the “math nerd” with these books, McKellar was named “Person of the Week” by “ABC World News.” Her latest New York Times bestseller is Goodnight Numbers, which hit the shelves in March 2017, and is aimed at parents of young children, to introduce numbers as a friendly and relevant part of their lives. Crown Books for Young Readers is the publisher and will also publish two more of McKellar’s books in 2018.
A summa cum laude graduate of UCLA, McKellar earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics while also contributing original research. Her theorem, since dubbed “The Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem,” was published in Britain’s esteemed Journal of Physics and has been featured on the front page of the science section of The New York Times.

After college, in addition to her nine-episode arc on “The West Wing,” McKellar continued her acting career with such roles as a recurring spot on CBS’ hit show “How I Met Your Mother” and a guest appearance on “The Big Bang Theory,” among others. McKellar also voices many roles in cartoons, including the regular role of Miss Martian on Cartoon Network’s “Young Justice.”
McKellar has starred in many television movies, including “The Wrong Woman” on Lifetime, which garnered some of the network’s highest ratings, and made her Hallmark Channel debut in
2015 with two original movies – “Perfect Match” and “Crown for Christmas,” with the latter earning 4.3 million impressions with P2+, making it the network’s second highest-rated original movie premiere of the year. More recently, she starred in the network’s “Wedding Bells” and “My Christmas Dream,” which was once again one of Hallmark Channel’s top-rated movies of the year, in addition to 2017’s “Campfire Kiss,” on which she also served as executive producer.
