Female Self-Defense Round Table
Self-defense experts Eve Torres, Nelson Nio, and Helen Anzalone-Gordon equip women with the skills needed to protect themselves from attackers. They warn that perpetrators are looking for victims who are easy targets, often those who are oblivious to their surroundings. One line of defense is to think who attackers aren't looking for and strive to be like those people. One such way is to present yourself with confidence and to make eye contact. In the event you are grabbed, Helen, Eve, and Nelson demonstrate techniques women can use to break free and fight back. The three target areas are the eyes, throat, and groin. The trio also answer questions submitted by viewers about protecting themselves in different scenarios, such as jogging alone.

Chef Roy Yamaguchi
Too bad we don't have smell-o-vision because Cristina is loving the aromatic seasoning of Chef Roy Yamaguchi's Misoyaki butterfish! He blends French and Japanese fare into this Hawaiian fusion seafood dish, a staple on his menu ever since Roy's was established 25 years ago. First, he walks you through marinating the black cod and then explains you can substitute with any type of fish of your choosing.
1. Buy fresh fish.
2. Fresh fish is vibrant in color.
3. Don't overcook! Cook on medium temperature.
4. Cook each side evenly.

Psychiatrist Dr. Kira Stein, M.D. explains how transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is used to treat severe depression by using an MRI-strength magnetic field to stimulate dormant parts of the brain, instead of treating the condition with medication. Two former patients, Carmen and Meghan, share their success stories and Meghan even allows us to watch a session. Dr. Stein also discusses symptoms of depression, the genetic component, when you should seek professional treatment, and the time commitment and success rate of TMS. TMS had been FDA approved since 2008 and is being covered by more and more insurance companies.

HGTV host and DIY expert Jeff Wilson suggests two ways to cut our monthly energy bill by up to 85%! You'll be able to complete some of these projects on your own, but others may require you to hire a contractor. First, change out your lightbulbs to LED (light-emitting diode) because they are extremely energy efficient and have longevity. You'll very quickly recoup the expense of your initial investment. Also, install a Thermo Drain underneath your shower drain to reclaim heat from water that goes down the drain. This can save you up to 35% on your water bill.
