After playing the role of Ryan Lavery for four years on ABC's "All My Children," Canadian actor Cameron Mathison left the cast in 2002, only to return a year later to reprise his fan-favorite character. 

Mathison made his feature film debut in the 1998 Miramax release "54." He also starred in the Canadian independent film "Washed Up," "The Carpenter's Miracle," "The Surrogate," as well as the ABC Family Feature Film "Home Again." His television credits include "Hope & Faith," "The Drew Carey Show," "CSI," "JAG," "What I Like About You," "F/X: The Series," "Castle," "Desperate Housewives," and the television movie "Any Mother's Son" with Bonnie Bedelia. Mathison's hosting duties have included ABC's live world premiere of the Walt Disney animated feature "Tarzan," SOAPnet's 2001 Daytime Emmy® red carpet special, and various E! "Wild On!" specials. He also appeared on the 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards broadcast as the show's "Fan Zone" host, was a presenter at the 40th Annual Country Music Awards, and hosted SOAPnet's original reality series, "I Wanna Be a Soap Star."
