Torrance Coombs is perhaps best known for his role as Sebastian (Bash) in The CW’s hit drama series “Reign” and as Thomas Culpepper in Showtime’s Golden Globe nominated series “The Tudors.” He also recurred as Declan on The CW’s “The Originals”.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Coombs began acting at a young age and continued to participate in theatre roles throughout high school. He later received a degree from the University of British Columbia’s theatre and film program in Vancouver.

Coombs recently starred in ABC’s period drama series from Shondaland, “Still Star-Crossed.” Based on the book by Melinda Taub, the series, executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, picked up where the famous Shakespearean story of “Romeo and Juliet” leaves off.

In “Reign” Coombs portrayed the character of Sebastian (King Henry II’s illegitimate child) for three seasons. A fan favorite, he garnered a nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama TV Series at the 2014 Monte Carlo Television Festival for his role.

Coombs has appeared in a recurring role in Showtime’s critically acclaimed, mega hit television series “The Tudors” in which he played Thomas Culpepper, a courtier and close confidant of Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). Later that year, he also appeared in CBC’s “Heartland” as Chase Powers. In 2011, he co-starred as Sam Besht, a grad student chess fanatic, in the Hulu drama series “Endgame.” In 2008, Coombs’ first television role was as John Doe in the CBC comedy series “IPod” and shortly after as Lance Corporal C. Sellers in the 2009 episode of the television series “Battlestar Galactica.”

Coombs resides in Los Angeles.
