Laura can’t wait to hear about Kate’s kiss with Richard. When she realizes Kate is about to ghost him, she turns to Callum for help convincing her to stay in touch. Callum stays neutral and instead enlists both women to help with his upcoming “Posh Pie” pop-up.
Eventually, Kate gives in and replies to Richard’s text.
Date #6: Kate walks into an escape room challenge only to find her date is Liam, someone she dated before and ghosted.
Awkward tension fills the room. Kate apologizes, but Liam coolly replies that someone who ghosts another person says a lot about their character.
Meanwhile, Callum suggests to Evelyn that she take their traditional day trip to Brighton with Mac instead. She hesitates but finally agrees.
Back in the escape room, Kate and Liam struggle to work together. Between puzzles, Kate admits she has a habit of walking away from people once she starts to care. Liam softens and finds the next clue, and by the end, he forgives her.
On the road, Mac and Evelyn head to Brighton. They bicker playfully, and when the car breaks down, Evelyn refuses Mac’s help, determined to stay independent.
In the escape room, Kate and Liam share nostalgic stories and finally complete the challenge. They’re both happy they did it together and agree to meet for coffee the next day.
At a cozy pub, Evelyn asks Mac about Kate’s mom. He admits she left years ago. They join a group of locals celebrating the holidays, laughing and dancing as they miss a call from Kate.
Kate helps Callum prepare for the Posh Pie pop-up. He mentions that her dad is safe with Evelyn and tells her not to worry. When she asks about his dating life, he admits he’s trying to make his late mother proud. It’s clear how much he values Kate’s friendship.
That evening, Evelyn tells Mac they’ll need to stay overnight at a nearby inn. They video chat with Kate and Callum, sharing smiles and laughter from their side. Later, Evelyn opens up about her annual trip to Brighton; it’s how she honors her late husband. She explains that Callum usually joins her in memory of his mother. She and Mac share a fun dance as they make the best of their circumstance.
Meanwhile, Kate gets a text from Liam to meet up right as Richard also messages her. In a flustered moment, she replies to the wrong man. Richard, confused by the message, doesn’t know what to make of it.
The next morning, Mac is determined to get Evelyn to Brighton so she doesn’t miss her tradition.
Back home, Laura tells Kate to stop overthinking and just live her life. If she likes both men, she should see where things go.
When Mac and Evelyn finally reach the cliffs, they take in the ocean view and release a cathartic shout into the wind.
Elsewhere, Kate waits for Liam, but he never shows. She realizes he’s ghosting her this time. It’s poetic payback for the past.
At the café, Callum’s Posh Pie pop-up is a huge success. Sara arrives with a branding executive who pitches the idea of turning Posh Pies into the new face of The Pear Tree brand. Callum immediately declines. Sara, embarrassed, argues he’s missing a massive opportunity. He pushes back, saying his mother built the café on authenticity, not marketing. Sara snaps that he could make it so much more, but he admits he doesn’t want to be someone she wishes he was. The argument ends with Sara walking out.
Kate arrives as Sara is leaving. Callum tells her it’s over between them. Kate and Laura comfort him, but the mood shifts when Kate mentions Sara’s ex, Oliver. Shocked, Callum realizes she never told him. He grows distant, hurt by her secrecy, and walks away.
Frustrated, Kate lashes out at Laura, telling her to stop trying to “fix” her life.
Later that night, Kate reluctantly heads to Date #7, at a salsa club. She tries to take charge, but her controlling energy sends her date running for the door.
Meanwhile, Evelyn and Callum share a drink and a warm moment over a posh pie. Evelyn tells him his mother would be proud of the man he’s become.
Back at the club, Kate is stunned when Richard suddenly appears. He says he came to see her. They leave together, spend the rest of the night talking, and share another kiss under the city lights just as Kate’s mom shows up out of nowhere. Kate’s smile fades fast.
