Eoin Macken will next be seen starring opposite Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly in Netflix’s upcoming original series Ransom Canyon. He can currently be seen in the Irish independent series Borderline on Roku, as well as on Netflix starring opposite Ed Skrein and Eleanor Mastuura in the film I Used to Be Famous directed by Eddie Sternberg. Macken was last seen in the lead role of Gavin Harris on NBC’s hit series La Brea written by David Appelbaum. He also can be seen starring opposite Jill Flint, Erin Richards and Mac Brandt in the independent film Grey Elephant which he wrote, directed, and produced.

Macken was last seen in theaters starring opposite Elisha Cuthbert in the Ireland-set horror film, The Cellar, written and directed by Brendan Muldowney. The movie premiered at SXSW in March 2022. He was also seen on Netflix starring opposite Megan Fox in Millennium Films horror-thriller feature Till Death. He also played the lead opposite Gretchen Mol and Jodie Turner-Smith in George RR Martin’s Nightflyers for Netflix, as well as starring opposite Noomi Rapace in the Netflix feature Close, directed by Vickie Jewson. Macken was also seen in A24’s The Hole in the Ground, directed by Lee Cronin, which was a huge success when it premiered at Sundance. On the small screen he starred in Sony/NBC’s The Night Shift playing the lead character of TC for four seasons.

Additional feature credits include starring opposite Milla Jovoich and Ali Larter in Screen Gems’ franchise Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson; as well as starring opposite Natalie Dormer and Taylor Kinney in Focus Features’ The Forest directed by Jason Zada. On TV, Macken starred opposite Stephen Moyer, Rufus Sewell and Kelsey Grammer in National Geographic Channel’s Emmy-nominated event series Killing Jesus. He got his big break starring on the hit BBC series Merlin as the swashbuckling hero Gwaine, and recurred on the fourth season of Showtime’s Emmy-winning series The Tudors.

In addition to acting, Macken is an accomplished filmmaker. He wrote, directed and produced the Irish independent film Here Are the Young Men which stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Finn Cole and Dean-Charles Chapman. He also wrote, directed and starred opposite Jack Reynor and Tom Hopper in the independent film Leopard. Macken is a published novelist and his first book, Kingdom of Scars, was short listed for the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards in 2014. He followed it up with Hunter and the Grape which is available through Amazon.
