Laci J. Mailey is a Canadian-born actress and writer best known for her role as Jess O’Brien in Hallmark Channel’s original primetime series “Chesapeake Shores.” Mailey has recurred on several TV series such as Steven Spielberg’s “Falling Skies” alongside Will Patton and Noah Wylie, CBC’s “Romeo Section” with Brian Markinson and The CW’s “Supernatural.”
Mailey is the owner of Good Fruit Productions where she has written and directed several short films such as Poetry Series: Italy, for the Lose Ones, Like Woman Like Secret, and the psychological feature Mary Jean Remembers.
Selected theater credits include Zastrozzi: Master of Discipline, Spike Heels, and Henry IV at the Railtown Actors Studio, The Crackwalker and Diving Normal at Studio 16 in Vancouver, and Ruach with The Space Collective in New York City. Mailey has trained extensively in Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York and Rome in both theater and film and was previously named one of Variety’s “Canadian Talent to Watch.”
